Prayer Connection Ministry
What is Prayer Connection?
"The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know." - 1 Timothy 2:1 (The Message)
Prayer Connection is a new opportunity for anyone to help support the church family through prayer.
All ages welcome and there is no "experience" required. Everyone from Prayer Wimps to Prayer Warriors
are invited to pray about how they would like to be involved and to what level.
There will be needs for 5 minutes a week to about an hour.
When are the meetings?
For now there is no set meeting time. An initial planning session was very successful and pointed out how we need to start with baby steps. With prayer as the focus, we hope God will
reveal what steps to take further and when to take them. For now, we are committed to praying for the pastors before the services, praying for the services themselves, and praying for the list of weekly requests.
Soon we will regather and decide how God is at work and where to focus and/or spread prayer next.
How can I be involved?
Initially, basic needs will be covered and depending on involvement and guidance through prayer, more opportunities will be revealed.
To begin with:
Before anything else, pray about how you are called to pray for our church family.
Simply pray on your own for the ministry and our church family
Pray for the pastors before the 8:15 Service - Meet in the Office at 7:45.
Pray individually or with a group during the 3 Sunday morning services.
Pray for the requests listed in the current bulletin.
Once the Team is established and the power of prayer grows, more ministry opportunities may become viable including:
Proactive, unsolicited prayer and notices by postcard/email sent to those prayed for
Prayer over the pews before the church service
 Uninterrupted prayer during the services
Immediate prayer for requests handed in during the service
Immediate prayer for each person present at a service by name from attendance card
Training to handle confidential requests and mentoring among the group
"On-call" prayer for immediate needs outside of church
Questions/Thoughts/Ideas?
Please pray first, then send an email to Jeff Agold about how to connect through prayer at Keller FUMC.
