Prayer Covering Ministry
What is a Prayer Covering?
A prayer covering is a quilt or shawl that is given to
persons who are ill, have suffered a loss or are in
the midst of a crisis in order to offer comfort.
Before the covering is delivered, it is prayed over
by the Prayer Covering Ministry team who created it
and others in the church family. Prayers ask for
blessings and peace for the recipient of the
covering. Since the beginning of the ministry in
January 2004, over 250 prayer coverings have been
delivered.
When are the meetings?
We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in
the Hallelujah Center. Our meetings last about one
hour during which we share projects and pray over
completed quilts and shawls. Beginners are welcome,
and we will be happy to share tips and help you get
started on a project. (We do not meet in November or
December or on a church holiday.)
