Alzheimer's Support
Group
The purpose of this monthly group is to
offer emotional support, information, and
resources to caregivers, relatives, and friends
whose loved ones have Alzheimer’s disease or a
related dementias. This is one of several groups
offered by the North Central Texas Chapter of
the Alzheimer’s Association. At FUMC of Keller,
the group meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month
at from 2pm to 3:30pm in the Hallelujah Center.

Disciple
Disciple is a 34-week program of disciplined
Bible study offered during the school year aimed
at developing strong Christian leaders.
Emmaus
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal
program intended to strengthen the local church
through the development of Christian disciples
and leaders. The program's approach seriously
considers the model of Christ's servanthood and
encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways
appropriate to being "a servant of all."

Kairos
The mission is to bring Christ's love and
forgiveness to incarcerated individuals, their
families and those who work with them.
Prayer Covering Ministry

Members of our congregation create quilts,
blankets, and shawls that are given to those
going through difficult times such as grief or

S.A.G.E.S.
Senior Adults Growing, Exploring, Serving
A small group for those age 50 and older. Events
include a birthday lunch each month, special events and travel
opportunities.
Small-Group Bible Studies
Small-group Bible studies are held throughout
the year. These 6-8 week studies are held on
weeknights and/or weekday mornings and focus on
various topics.
Stephen
Ministry —
Rev. Tom Faile
Stephen
Ministry provides trained volunteers who support
and encourage individuals experiencing a life
crisis such as the death of a loved one, separation
or divorce, job loss, illness, etc. A Stephen
Minister meets regularly with the person and gives
distinctively Christian care until the crisis
subsides.
Sunday School
Small groups are an integral part of growing in
faith as you continue on your walk with Christ.
We offer classes of all age groups and sizes.
United Methodist Men
The purpose of United Methodist Men is to
declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of
men and in all their relationships. The men work
with local groups and other district
organizations in developing programs to meet the
needs and interests of men of all ages. This
group also hosts the annual Neil Herbert Golf
Tournament with proceeds benefiting various

United Methodist Women
All women of the church are invited to become
involved.
Wednesday Night Life
Wednesday nights begin with a time of food and
fellowship as a precursor to small group studies
for adults. Classes are designed to help you
grow in faith and build relationships.

Lynne Rhodes Worship
Our youth are encouraged to participate in
worship in a variety of ways. Youth are a vital
part of our congregation and it is our goal to
help them find areas that they may serve based
on their gifts and their interests. Many
of our youth volunteer as ushers, soloists,
musicians, greeters and readers.
Fine Arts
There are
several Youth ensembles to choose from including
the Youth Praise Team, Joyful Noise Ringers. FUMC Keller is dedicated to making Christ
better known through all of the worship arts.
BASIC (Brothers And Sisters In Christ)
BASIC is open to high school and middle school
students on Sunday nights from 5 to 7:00 p.m.
The group meets in the Family Life Center for
fellowship, fun, food, and biblical application.
Wednesday Night Missions and Small Groups
Local Mission work - Twice a month on
alternating Wednesdays, our Jr. and Sr. High
youth will go into the community to serve in
various areas such as helping at the Community
Storehouse, doing repair and cleaning projects
for neighbors in need as well as other local
mission projects in our immediate are.
Social justice conversations - Twice a month our
youth get together to talk about various issues
that concern and affect us in our daily lives
and how our faith can help us make sense of the
issues around us. These small groups are student
led by our Rite 12 seniors.
Rite 12
This program is for Senior in High School. It is
custom tailored to the needs and interests of
high school seniors. It provides a rite of
passage that both honors that stage of life our
12th graders are in as well as offers valuable
life lessons that they can take with them on the
next leg of their journey.
Sunday Morning Gatherings
On Sunday mornings students meet for fellowship
and a look into the bible. They are encouraged
to bring their tough questions to the
conversations so that we can begin to better
understand how we relate to our faith, to God
and to the bible in our every day lives . Jr.
and Sr. High meet at 9:30 in the youth house.
Sr. High (9th -11th) meets in the Hallelujah
Center at 11:00 AM. Seniors meet in room 4 in
the Hallelujah Center at 11:00 AM. Jr. High
meets in the Youth House at 11:00 AM. !
Youth Activities - Special Events
Throughout the year, including summer, we have
special events in addition to BASIC and Wednesday
night activities. Youth can expect to get to
know each other and make new friends while
participating in activities like Whirly Ball,
Sky Ranch Retreat, The Amazing Scavenger Race,
Mid Winter Retreat at Glen Lake and Catapult Wars
to name just a few.
30 Hour Famine
In March the Sr. High get together to learn
about world hunger while fasting themselves.
During the lock-in, we not only learn about
poverty and hunger, but we do hands on exercises
that teach us what it is really like, followed
by an opportunity to work in a community garden
in Fort Worth that reaches out to women caught
in the poverty cycle.
Summer Missions
We participate in the Central Texas Conference
Youth in Mission summer mission program. An
out-of-state senior high trip in June and an
in-state middle school trip in July allow
students to share the gospel and serve as
Christ’s hands and feet to people in need by
doing tasks such as repair work, building
wheelchair ramps, roofing, lawn maintenance and
much more.
Youth Sunday
One Sunday a year our youth lead each of the
three Sunday morning worship services. The
students do everything: praise and worship,
hymns and music, sermons, scripture reading,
prayers, ushering, and the invitation. This is
an awesome opportunity for these students to
show how God is using them in amazing ways!

Kristin Springer Director of Children's
Ministries
Acolytes
Children in grades four through six serve in
traditional worship services by bringing light
into the services, assisting with offering
plates, helping the pastors, and extinguishing
the candles at the end of the service.
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts
Troops and Packs meet in Keller FUMC facilities.
Building
Blocks — Evon Bair
Two- and three-day programs are offered for three
and four year olds as well as a private four-day
kindergarten. All classes meet in the Family
Life Center. Building Blocks is well known for
its caring Christian atmosphere and hands-on
learning experience dedicated to the growth and
development of the whole child.
Children’s Church
Children age three through first grade have the
opportunity to attend worship with their family
for the first 20 minutes of the 9:30 and 11:00
services before going to a classroom for Bible
lessons and activities.
Christmas Pageant
Every December, the children of our congregation
and community come together to tell the story of
Jesus' birth through drama and music.
Confirmation
Sixth graders work through a nine-month program
of "Claiming the Name" of Jesus Christ to
prepare them for affirming Christ as their
Savior and becoming full members of the United
Methodist Church.
Easter Eggstravaganza
A family Easter celebration at the Hallelujah
Center. Fellowship, food, crafts, egg hunts, and
the Easter story told by one of our pastors are
all part of the fun!
Glen Lake Camp
Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center offers summer
and weekend camps for children in second grade
and up. Their mission is to promote the
threefold spiritual, mental, and physical
development of young persons and adults as
Christians.
5th & 6th Grade Fellowship
A Bible study and fellowship
opportunity for fifth and sixth graders. They
meet one Sunday per month during the school
year.
SLAM JAM
Various classes are offered such as arts and
crafts, sports, and dance. SLAM JAM runs
concurrently with Wednesday Night Life adult
small groups in the Family Life Center.
Moms and Tots
A supportive small group for moms and a fun
playgroup for kids! On the first and third
Fridays of the month, fun activities are planned
for the kids including bounce houses, arts and
crafts, themed toys, and snacks. All moms are
welcome with their infant to pre-school aged
kids. The group meets in the Family Life Center
on Thursdays from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.
Nursery
Our nurturing and caring nursery is available
during all three worship services and all
church-sponsored events. The infant (0-12month)
and two year old nurseries are located across
from the church office. Our baby nursery
(12-24months) is located in room 209 along the
top right side of the Family Life Center.

Sunday School—9:30 and 11:00
Classes offered year round for Pre-K–5th grade.
Summer Theater Workshop
A 3-week drama camp that gives children and
youth the opportunity for Bible study, acting,
singing, publicity and set preparation. The camp
concludes with performances open to the
community.
Trunk or Treat
This night of family fun includes a costume
contest, trick or treating (out of car trunks),
games, food, and more!
Vacation Bible School
A fun-filled week in the summer for kids age
kindergarten through sixth grade. Through fun
and adventure, children discover and experience
the joy in knowing God and His immeasurable love
for them.

Dr. David Gerig, Director of Worship and
Music Celebration Ringers Bell Choir An English handbell choir that provides worship
music in the traditional worship services.
Membership is by permission of the Director of
Music and positions are filled on an “as-needed”
basis. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Chancel Choir The Chancel Choir is open to all adults and
youth who love to sing and lead worship in the 11:00 a.m. traditional worship
service. Both traditional and contemporary
choral literature is presented. Rehearsals are
Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
Children's Choir Rainbow Choir: K-2nd Grade Promise Choir: Grades 3-6
The children's choirs sing in worship services
during the year and are open to all children.
These choirs sing music that is age appropriate
and combine each year to present a children's
musical.
First Flutes First Flutes is a flute ensemble that supports
worship with special music on a regular basis.
Participation is based on the approval of the
director. Rehearsals are planned as
needed.
Adult and Youth Praise Teams
Our adult team leads worship for the 9:30 AM
contemporary worship service. It also provides
music for other events in and outside the
church. Membership is by audition and on an
as-needed basis. The youth praise team, open by
audition, rehearses regularly to develop music
skills and to prepare for special occasions.
Sound and Video Team The Sound
and Video Team is a vital part of worship.
Members are chosen and trained based on aptitude
and interest in supporting worship for each

Spotlight Ministries
Spotlight Ministries provides dramatic arts
opportunities for worship and special
presentations. This ministry leads a Summer
Theater Workshop for children and youth as well
as produces plays and skits for worship and
special events. Each production is cast through
audition as announced. Rehearsals are scheduled
as needed for each production.
Brass Ensemble
The Brass Ensemble is open to all youth
and adults who are experienced brass instrument
players. The Brass Ensemble plays regularly at
the traditional worship services and for special
presentations. Rehearsals are on Thursdays, 7:00
- 8:00 PM.

Rev. Daniel Hawkins, Pastor of Administration and Missions Arlington Life Shelter
Sack lunches are prepared and delivered to the
Arlington Life Shelter to be distributed to the
homeless.
The Community Storehouse
The Community Storehouse is a nonprofit
organization that supports local families in
times of need and crisis. Our congregation
collects nonperishable food and supplies on a
monthly basis.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical
Christian organization dedicated to eliminating
substandard housing and homelessness worldwide
and to making adequate, affordable shelter a
matter of conscience and action. Our
congregation is actively involved in building a
Habitat house each fall.
Heifer Project
Each Sunday children bring their spare change to
church for the Heifer Project which provides
farm animals for families world-wide.
Natural Disaster Relief
Our congregation provides financial support and
sends materials to the United Methodist
Committee on Relief (UMCOR). After the hurricane
disasters of 2005, clothing, furniture and
supplies were donated, and we partnered with
area churches to provide meals for evacuees in
Keller. A mission team visited southeast Texas
to help clean up and rebuild.
International Mission Teams
Each year at least one adult/youth mission team
is sent to places such as Slovakia, Mexico,
Kenya, Venezuela and Israel/Palestine. A
highlight of our international mission work is
an ongoing relationship with the Methodist
congregation in Trnava, Slovakia. During our
six-year partnership we have exchanged youth and
adult teams, shared prayer concerns, and made
life-long friendships.
Mission Gifts for Christmas
An annual outreach program where persons make
donations to selected charities in honor of
friends and family. Shoebox Ministry An annual
outreach program that sends Christmas gifts to
children around the world.
Operation Christmas Child
An annual outreach program, also known as
"Shoebox Ministry," that sends Christmas gifts
to children around the world.
