Holiday Hustle
Mark 4:35-41
Rev. Daniel Hawkins
Are the "peaceful" holidays anything but that for you? Do you find yourself continually caught up in the holiday hustle? Are you always on the move rushing from a family event to the work Christmas party to the Kid's Christmas play? Do you and your car rack up
more miles during this season than any other? if so, come and join us this Sunday as we explore the life of Jesus to fine an alternative to the holiday hustle.
Children as Worship Leaders
We will have again this year a Christmas Eve service that is led by the children in our church. This worship service is at 3:00 PM on Christmas Eve in the Sanctuary. Children in grades 4th through 6th are invited to serve as worship leaders. This includes reading the scriptures, leading the prayers and serving as ushers and acolytes.
Rehearsals will be held on Sunday, December 12, 1:30-2:00 PM in FLC 110 and Monday, December 20, 6:00-7:30 PM in the Sanctuary. All children participating are required to attend both rehearsals so that we will be ready to lead this special worship service. If you plan to be in town for Christmas Eve and your child would like to participate, please contact Pastor Robin at robins@kellerumc.org.
Held in God's Grace:
An Advent Study for Parents
Led by Pastor Robin
9:30 AM • FLC201
11:00 AM • FLC 101
In our fast-paced world it seems odd to say that we celebrate Advent by waiting, but this waiting is far more than just sitting around waiting for Christmas. Advent is a time of active preparation for a whole new way of life ushered in by the birth of Jesus Christ. What can we do as parents to prepare ourselves spiritually for the arrival of the Christ Child? What can we do as a family to teach our children about the meaning of Advent and Christmas? What rituals can we incorporate into our daily lives that will enhance our celebration of this season and deepen our faith? Parents of children of all ages are invited to join us as we journey through Advent together.
For more information contact Pastor Robin at robins@kellerumc.org.

A
Children’s Christmas Musical
Join us in the Family Life Center on Sunday, December 5th at 7:00 PM for Wise Guys & Starry Skies, a children’s Christmas musical by Kathie Hill. Our Rainbow and Promise children’s choirs, under the direction of Carolyn Swann and assisted by Betsy Modrzejewski, will present this wonderful story of a camel boy named Jesse traveling with a group of wise men to find the newborn Messiah. Along the way, Jesse ponders what possible gift could a simple camel boy give to a King. Come enjoy the music along with dessert. Donations to support the Children's music ministry will be accepted.
